Storyboard

So, we have the concept now. We just have to draw it. And than shoot... :)

We upload the first five scenes now.

Music Video Production

Well, new semester, new practicum class! This time: music video production.

The first task is to find a partner. Than, to choose the music. And lastly, to figure out what the story is going to be.

First task: tick.
Second task: tick.

The length of the song is - I would say - average, it is around 3 minutes. The genre - drum&bass - suggests that it has no lyrics, which in itself has its own pros and cons.

It is great that we are not bound to any story yet, we have the chance to be as creative as we wish. On the other hand, if you have no starting point than weeks can pass while you are just brainstorming and sharing ideas... and this is what exactly happened :)

Commercial

So, the task was to make a 1-minute-long commercial and the topic was a shockproof mobile phone. We agreed at the very beginning that a good commercial is funny and short. And funny does not mean stand-up comedy just like in the OTP commercials because I think they are horrible.
So we were thinking of a "loser" guy who even pours himself a cup of coffee early in the morning. According to the first storyboard it was a middle-aged guy wearing suit and the whole thing was set during going to work.
Well, as you could have seen it we changed a lot of things in it but the basic concept of a loser guy remained. And we were lucky that Xue happily said yes when we asked him about playing the "protagonist".
And it turned out that I actually love cutting videos. I don't really like acting (and I did not appear in the movie either) but the post-productional works were all done by Balint and me and it was great. I loved choosing the right music and spend hours while editing the commercial. It was fun.

Final version

Finally we did it. It was pretty funny while making it and the result is also... it was previously uploaded to Facebook where the group got a lot of likes and today I managed to upload to youtube as well.

My video

Okay, perhaps this was not the best idea from me but one weekend I did my video... when I was visiting my grandma in Tiszacsege (close to Debrecen), there were hundreds of geese and while were walking around the "puszta" in Hajdú-Bihar county a huge Jesus Christ sculpture appears in the middle of nowhere. I was shocked from this view... I thought this was going to be a creative thing with great music.

actually I do not have a more creative one right now, but I do not want to make a video based on somebody else’s ideas so perhaps I am gonna change the topic.
So, the first: Pair of shoes walking as if they were real (alive?) I think this was the cutest.. :)
The second: Walking beautiful lady, nice clothes, nice high hills and finally she turns back and also turns out not to be a she but a he.
Fortunatelly I have several friends who are in this video “business”, hope they will help me.
BTW: Tony, would you please suggest a good program for cutting? (mac)

Video Production

Well, Video Prodcution. For the first time I have a “common” teacher with a friend of mine who studies at MOME. This is not that surprising since she studies the same (design és művészetelmélet) except for the language on which it is spoken. Hope this will be fun.
